The one thing I really enjoyed on the k-1 was shooting it as a DSLR with manual focus; i hate screens and focus peeking only makes me nervous. I started looking into something pocketable with such a feature and whilst the x-pro1 caught my eye at first I discovered i could save a bit of money and actually afford one of the camera's of my dreams (no, not the hassy, but) the far older and more primitive leica m8.
I've come to love that camera. This is a camera that does not give you room for errors, it does not give you any help; heck i shoot that thing slower than most film camera's. But I have the same kind of fun shooting it as a film camera; and even if I only make 1 or 2 photo's the results are always great.
Do not expect any performance out of such an old and silly digital; oh and do be aware that it's light meter is dumb as balls (give me that over the z70's matrix metering all day though). But if you have money to burn this sure can put a smile on your face!
Now if only I could buy a film leica to try out my far too expensive voightlander 35mm f1.4 lens on...
